(Haiyu) and pigment-inlaid sgraffito decoration.

celebrating the Master's 80th birthday jubilee.
● Box & Accoutrements: Original Paulownia wood box (Tomobako), signed and sealed by
the artist. Includes original signed artist cloth (Tomonuno).
Technical & Iconographic Data
● Dimensions: Height: 28.0 cm | Width (Diameter): 17.6 cm.
● Vessel Form & Motif: A massive vessel of circular cross-section. The continuous curved
body features four distinct, hand-incised pictorial sgraffito drawings distributed
symmetrically around its circumference. The motifs (including a traditional crane/stork and
botanical elements) are meticulously inlaid with a stable white pigment, creating a stark
graphic contrast against the rich, semi-matte charcoal and ash-green glaze field.
● Curatorial Significance: Commemorative anniversary works (Sanju Kinen) produced by
Ohi Chozaemon X are highly limited, institutional-tier commissions representing the
absolute technical and philosophical zenith of his career. The execution of contemporary
graphic lines over traditional institutional Ohi forms makes this an exceptionally scarce
market asset.

structural flaws, or signs of conservation/restoration.
